Last day..... boo hoo
We have had such a fantastic time here in Toronto. Mandy has made us so welcome and we have really felt at home here. We love Edie and Noah and we are sad to leave. We hope to see them all again soon.. It has been a great experience living like a local here and experiencing the different cultures. Toronto has a lot to offer and is a very friendly city in our experience. Niagara Falls was an amazing experience and is one we will be reliving for many years to come.

Back home in Toronto...
We are coming to the end of our holiday now and with only a couple of days to go we are revisiting the things we have liked best.
Kensington Market is a favourite as its full of little vintage shops and has a nice atmosphere.. good for rummaging around in.
We also visited Chinatown and had Spring Rolls. We have super tickets to the baseball game tomorrow, so we are looking forward to that. CN Tower too and we are having Poutine for lunch - home made!

Niagara-on-the-Lake... via the Niagara Parkway
We took the Niagara Parkway down to Niagara-on-the-Lake as it was the scenic route. We saw the Floral Clock and the Whirlpool too. In the pictures by the Lake front if you look closely you might see the Toronto skyline with the CN Tower. Remember this is only Lake Ontario.. it is not the sea. Although it looks big enough. A beautiful place. We spent an hour just sitting there watching the view. NOTL is a beautiful little town with quaint shops and cafes...
Niagara Falls.... and the Maid of the Mist
Didnt have laptop in Niagara so posts are late. Couldnt begin to describe the experience of seeing the Falls and actually FEELING them as you approach them on the Maid of the Mist. It was a truly amazing experience. We took over 140 pictures... Here are a handful...

Beach, Afrofest, and South East Asian Festival
Just Chilling...good music, great food.
Niagara Falls tomorrow, we'll stay for 2 nights and visit Niagara-on-the-Lake too x
Dundas Square, Brave and "The Duke"
We went to Dundas Square for a veggie burger then went to the AMC to see Brave. We liked the music, the buttery popcorn and had a nice doze during the movie but we left clueless as to the story....
We had BBQ dinner then Mandy, Scott and I went to the pub where we met Sandy, Jane and Mirryn.. Nice chat and a very welcoming traditional pub atmosphere.. Drinks are on a tab and you just pay at the end which made it feel very relaxed and friendly. A good idea methinks.
Daniel, Laura, Noah and Edie had a Movie fest with Alien and Indiana Jones!

Kensington Market and Aunt Bobbies for dinner...
We have a system where we follow Mandy.
Mandy walks ahead. We walk ahead.....
Mandy crosses the road. We cross the road.....
Kensington Market was really cool, full of vintage shops and interesting things. The Blue Banana was a favourite..
Afterwards we caught the streetcar to Aunt Bobbie's for dinner. We had a lovely night with her and Mandy and a really nice dinner with homemade potato salad which was fab.
Lots of wine.....good times. x

Honest Ed's, Mirvish Village and Licks Homeburgers
Noah and Edie were funny this morning. After Mandy left for work they were barking upstairs to us to come down. They are so friendly and loving and real characters.
Honest Ed is a legend.... we liked his store! We also liked Dollarama! We found the Rangers Supporters Club pub on Madison. We had a wander around Mirvish Village then headed back to the Eaton Centre. Daniel and Laura went for a wander there and we had a beer at Firkin on Yonge.
Subway back home for homeburgers and fries at Lick's.
Drinks and catch up with Mandy in the backyard.
Picasso V the Blue Jays.....
After a lazy morning spent reading and dozing on the front porch, we had lunch and some drinks in the afternoon before heading out. It was a HOT day!Mandy and I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario where we met Aunt Bobby and Mirryn. We had a very serious intellectual visit to the Picasso exhibit where Mandy and I agreed that we like his earlier works the best....
Afterwards we went to Baldwin and had Nachos and Margaritas at "Margarita".
MEANWHILE........
Scott and his Big Finger, Daniel and Laura went to see the Blue Jays!
